An army of nutcrackers awaited us inside the lobby of the Burj Al Arab. Luckily, they were only a display, or else nuts everywhere would have fled before their might.

This is the interior of the Skyview Bar. To me, it reminded me of the 60's, and I couldn't help but feel a bit like Don Draper from Mad Men while we were here.

This is an unobstructed view of the coast of Dubai as seen from the Skyview Lounge. I enjoyed this view even more than the view from the Burj Khalifa, since we were out past the coastline.

Before entering the Skyview Lounge, guests walk through this tunnel. I'm not sure about the significance, other than it's jaw-droppingly cool and makes you feel like your stepping into another dimension.
